Crafting is too expensive.
|
1- We need the ability to cheaply switch resitances like harvesting in Poe1.
2- We can now Target craft 4 modifiers items, but it is ridiculously expensive. We could already do this on poe 1 and it was much more accesible. Right now you need multiple divines worth of currency to simply lock 3 mods. In poe 1 you could do this much more cheaply and accesibly. The mayority of the playerbase does not reach that level of wealth, it undermines seasons. Last bumped on Dec 21, 2025, 7:09:56 PM

How are you spending multiple divines on Perfect Aug/Alt and an Essence to hit 3 lines?

I agree with you. Crafting could be a bit cheaper.

Crafting in PoE2: SlotMachnie...what are you talking about?
|
|
" Take 2 tiems and recomb until you get 2 lines with acceptable magnitude. You then fracture it, and repeat until you get 2 of the same fracures. Then you take another pair of rings and get the same fracture and a diferent stat. Recombine until you get 1 fracture (got both items with the same) and 2 lines, one from each item. Repeat until you get them, that is 3 mods. If they are all suffix or preffix then you can add and remove a mod until you get what you want. The mechanism is acceptable, the cost of doing it is not. In poe 1 i can simply essense rerol until i get 3 mods and its very cheap. |

I also agree, but I think it's because crafting really good gear is intended to be done over a significantly longer time (weeks, maybe more than a month) than we desire it to.
I want to craft crazy gear today and now to become an unstoppable force steamrolling the t18 maps, but I can't. I need to save up, think through how am I going to get there. It's a big, most fundamental problem to solve and I think if I could solve it really quickly and easily, I'd get bored instantly. So I'm really not sure if advanced crafting being hard to achieve is a bad thing - I... I want to be poor? |

Damn. That seems way over overcomplicated unless you're going for perfect T1. I just slam Perfect Alt/Aug and if its garbage wait for the next base. If you are going for perfect items, then I'm glad it's expensive. Chase items and crafting should exist and be difficult to obtain.

" This is the method we have available in poe 2. In poe 1 you could get similar results much more cheaply and simply. This not only kills experimentation, but i would venture most players play this game as a sand box, and not grind to no end. |

Idk, if you start playing a game by a company named Grinding Gear Games and don't expect a grind... Then I don't know what to tell you.
This league has made it so I no longer consider PoE2 crafting just a slot machine. It's still not quite as robust as PoE1, but it's a massive improvement. Getting 6 mod items really isn't even hard and is cheaper than my experience in PoE1 by a significant amount thanks to omen combination tricks. It does cost a handful of divines, but getting ten divines within a week at a casual pace is extremely doable. I still just don't understand how the path above using recomb to hit 3 mods supposedly costs multiple divines. Just sounds wrong from my experiences this league. Perfect Alt/Aug guarantee ilvl 70+ mods. The mod pool is fairly small. I don't think I used more than like 5 bases to hit good mods with Perfect Alt/Aug to then finish crafting. |

locking 3 mods doesn't cost bajillion divines dunno what the OP is doing.
