Allow us to instill corrupted amulets
|
Corruption is basically a big item sink.
You are indeed right that life would be much easier if you could corrupt before doing the instilling. But what the corruption is doing is that there are a lot of people spending emotions on their amulets before corrupting the amulets and possibly making them less useful. They corrupt their amulets on an attempt to get the best theoretically-possible amulet. So this is something that high level players are always doing. If instillation was possible after corruption, then players would wait to get an amulet that works and only spend their emotions once they find it. This will make players spend less emotions, which will make them a lot less expensive and flood the markets. |

The point of corrupting is losing the ability to modify the item hoping for a positive outcome, it becomes too much of a safe choice if you can instill after that has happened.
Vaaled amulets also can get into the hands of players with little currency, if it was salvageable it would stay up in price, you gotta pay for your vaaling hubris, I'd say. Of course, it would be easier if you could add instill afterwards, but also if you could print Divines, there is a balance line somewhere, and I believe that both printing currently and instilling corrupted items is beyond that, although the instill one is way closer to the line. If you think about it, there are plenty of ways to grab your passives already through unique jewels. Id's say let's keep the risk up, and let the vaal be vaal. Early to bed, early to rise, fishing all day, making up lies.
