Honestly PoE could learn from LE's crafting system and qol. Man the crafting is actually fun and deterministic, there's a way for normal players to use basically a mirror of kalandra equivalent for a practical crafting reason, AND its got a fun system where you can add any one mod you want guaranteed to any unique.

And you think this is a good thing? Take a guess why people are done with that game in a day or two

Crafting in poe2 is already too strong

"Too strong" means requiring the average player to look at guides and google spreadsheets, and spend multiple divines on expensive omens and other currnecies, to gamble and hope they maybe hit a good unveil at the final step of their crafting after having to hit a 1/4 or 1/3 fracture?

That's not strong crafting, that is gambling with extra steps. The definition of crafting is to mold something exactly how you want to. In other words, deterministically.

Last Epoch has a real crafting system, its as simple as "I click upgrade on mods I want, stat goes up and item may lose crafting juice". Or "I add stat that I want, item may lose crafting juice". And you know what? I failed a lot of items in that game too to just being unlucky, but I was fine with it because failing a craft didn't mean losing tens of hours of currency farming. It just means I can pick up another good base and try again. This is how you design a good crafting system that even casuals can use.

I didn't need to watch 40-minute youtube videos or learn math formulas btw, I just picked up the system, read the text on my screen and made good items in Last Epoch. Original Harvest league was the closest PoE ever got to a good crafting system, and they killed it real quick lol

It's pointless, you're just expressing your taste and what you think is fun. That's fine, but it doesn't take into consideration anything else

It doesn't take into consideration that poe2 has a trade system which is what the game is mainly balanced around, it doesn't take into consideration longevity of the game, it doesn't take into consideration how this affects drops, doesn't take into consideration how it affects progression, the economy and so on

If you play SSF, then yea nothing else matters, but 99% of the playerbase doesn't play that. If they decide one day to make a crafting system that is as overpowered as LE and give it only to SSF, I couldn't care less

You don't need a math degree or spreadsheet for crafting anyway. Although I do wish they made it more accessible by making clarity better in game instead of having to open poe2db

the math will always math

either you intentionally crafted wrong to say this, or you're just making up numbers

What you're saying is crazy...

I really tried to make a good item with all the resources the game provides: 99 gloves, 99 rings, 99 chests...

Out of 99 rings (pearl ring), almost all of them, rolls with evasion and bonus to attack damage, which doesn't work with spells. This is an example.

You saying I crafted it wrong on purpose is almost hostile. I advise you to consider what you said, comrade.
Hold your breath and count to ten...

you most certainly need to go on craftofexile to make any worth while craft.

guess what craftofexile is? a spreadsheet.
so all u idiots like to trash on OP not realising 80% of the community have same reviews on forums ?

yall need to stfu and accept the truth. have a good day

you lost 10%... you need to gain them again and then make more 10% to go back to start point. this is a "timer" proportion.

10+10=20.

???????????????????????????????????

I have no words for this, but this ain't correct math, I can tell you that. I have to tell my friends about how this guy really tries to make people believe they actually lose 20% XP per death, holyyyy mother of christ

A lot of players post to defend GGG as if they're an employee, this is true.

However, there are also a lot of players that will come to complain about some absolute truth of gaming the devs need to know, that already has a simple in-game solution to fix their problems (they just didn't read).
I 100% agree with every single word you said.
And I kinda think like you and im also getting tired of the game.

Im also relatively old (well, compared with what I think its the main plublic of this game) and saw a lot of stuff in the game world.

The only point I believe you are missing is that from the start the game states: This is a game made by hardcore Diablo players.

So the game is kinda made from and for hardcore players.
When you enter it, you have to be aware of that.
And I remember someone quoting Chris saying that the game isn't supossed to be fair.

But again, let me be clear. I agree with you and also believe the game punishes you waaaaaaaaaaaay too much.
I sometimes think: What the **** this game is trying to gatekeep?
Why does xp needs to be so hard to get above level 95?
Why it needs to be so hard to get a god tier item?
Why do I put so many hours and I end up with just bad loot, maybe once in a while a mediocre loot, but never the ultra high end loot (like the mirror or the Dialla gem)?

All those things let me pissed too, but in my point of view, this is still the best ARPG we have (sadly, because Diablo IV is horrible and for the most that people loves to talk about Last Epoch, it doesn't seen that good either, or more people would be playing it).

But he isn't wrong, my sweetheart.
You loose 10%, you need to recover it.
Ok, you did it?
Now you are at the point you was before dying.
Now the other 10% its the potencial xp you already would be getting if you didn't died.

So yeah, he is right. If you think about time, you lost 20% xp.

You will notice how painful this is when you have a character on level 97 trying to get to 98.
