League feedback after 40/40
" You're mad that your fun strats got nerfed. They got nerfed for printing currency. Literally everyone was running those same strats, because they printed currency. It's not that deep. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! And the winds will cry / and many men will die / and all the waves will bow down / to the Loreley |

" Have you noticed what thing these strats have in common? It's fixed loot. There's no scaling. The thread is SPECIFICALLY about what you do after you're done farming all these entry level strategies. There's currently a large gap. |
|
" What's so troll about that? White T16 maps, with 600 movement speed and enough damage to kill red beasts in a maximum of 3 seconds, plus the correct atlas tree, just happen to earn about that much currency. It may be boring for some, but I find it just as interesting, even absolutely interesting. I could do it all day long. " I mean, Delirium is still a thing too, so is Beyond. Both have historically been top tier farming strategies when used together. There's also T17 bossing. Is it possible GGG wanted to tone down the high end scaling to prevent them from invalidating everything else? Either that or GGG wants you to earn your high end scaling farming strategy, and the ones they nerfed were extremely easy. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds. Sadly old graphs are deleted or broken But mirror is already 300d. Why would you ask? There is no alva nor sanctum. Divine is 150c (as it was for most of Merc league) I remember buying a mirror for 400d in last league where sanctum was relevant. But yeah "sanctum ruined economy" (it didn't, it only devalued the raw divine drops. Now Sanctum is meaningless). League of abundance is better for everyone. 100d mageblood, and easy to make a new build (most things are cheap). Only the mirror tier items were super expensive, as they should be, as they allowed you to farm OP strats. It's better for casuals who can buy chear uniques and easily make working build (just by using chaos they drop in maps). It's better for hardcore players who have content to do. People loved Affliction. People loved Phrecia. People loved Merc. But current league is already being abandoned by many (I have read reddit and see graphs). No one wants "non-ruined economy", which is economy where everyone is poor and which is even worse there is no reason to be rich (you don't need mirror items to farm boxes). Enjoy an economy without people I guess. |

i liked sanctum back in the day primarily because it allowed me, a weaker player to use my ingame skill to earn tons of currency without relying on mf.
i took longer to clear anyway but it was still fun for me and i felt rewarded for my efforts. i miss my sanc' relic. insert friendship with sanc relic is over, now friends with breach grafts meme. high chance it wont go core but i m hoping it does. [Removed by Support]

We're not even a week into the new league. Value of stuff fluctuate wildly for a few weeks before everything settles down.
And let's assume that this trend continues even after that much time has lapsed for the sake of argument. That kinda invalidates your claim that currency farm is terrible if so much currency is flooding the market, wouldn't it? PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

" ??? Alva literally required you 1 mirror to start. 2 mirrors if you want to do it without random oneshots. You also need to be fast because you need to clear 4 Alvas with shrine. Some of mods like Tentacle Fiends and Meteor on Flask required attention. If you die with a Shrine, you ruined the map. Abyss was hard. The rares who go invisible and then crit can oneshot with T16.5 mods, and sometimes abysses spawned like 5 of them. I had 15K ES character and some of maps were really hard and required running away from these things. Blightheart required a great build or you will die to horrible lags. T17 mods nerfs were to hardest content in the game (except Valdo maps). Now it's 100 IIQ on T16.5 map and it's a joke. Now it's literally just boxes which are actually super easy. Or uber boss+Feared farming which is also easy with proper build. We have less options now, not more. Last edited by Hornsent#1110 on Nov 6, 2025, 4:10:31 AM

" Yep, that's why I also loved Sanctum. Less gear dependent, especially MF, and was a reliable source of currency for the time spent. I also did Sanctum with my summoner builds, despite how nightmarish it was with all of the mobs buried under my minions making it difficult to dodge attacks properly. " You didn't need a mirror build for the Incursion farm. You definitely needed a ton of speed though, can't argue with that, but a mirror build is a huge exaggeration. I ran Abyss with an ordinary summoner. Nothing about it was hard, and the 1shots were avoidable if you invested in more defenses. My biggest gripe with the strat was the obnoxious amount of clicking that happens after every encounter which made me stop. I ran Blightheart a LOT last league, and I'm a summoner main with a potato PC. I assure you that you didn't need a "great" build to run it, just a proper understanding of tower placement (put arc/meteor towers at junctions, sacrificing some juice from the empowering tower loot buffs) and some amount of group clear. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this strategy still viable? The only thing about Blight GGG nerfed was the Blooming scarab, and I don't think that was at all essential for the strategy. T17 is still worth running, you can't just crank it to such ridiculous extremes. It's not just boxes, though. I listed a bunch of leagues you could also run. If you want challenge, farm essences or go super deep into Delve which are both historically consistent currency farms. Heist also has extremely valuable experimented jewelry that are going for tons of divines if you want currency. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
