League feedback after 40/40
" Beyond is a dead mechanic and delirium is now a pure reward tile farm. There's no scaling. Nobody adds delirium for the quantity. As for tuning down the high end scaling, that's not what has happened, is it? It's scaling as a whole that got lowered severely for everybody including weak players. As for invalidating loot, you mean like breach floods the market with midtier rares that'd usually be 20d and 6ls? " Not a SINGLE mechanic you have listed benefits from T17s. In fact, they're worse in T17s. There are currently only two viable T17 strats: - Boxes because they scale with monster count. - Boss rushing because uber fragments aren't available from any other source. " Beyond and Delirium both add more monsters to the map. More monsters, more kills, more drops. I don't feel like scaling got tuned down. I'm only just past halfway through red maps and already found a decent number of chaos and 2 divs, all I do is alch and go. That feels pretty normal when I'm not doing anything special right now. I can't speak on the "midtier" 20d rares pouring in. In all the years I've been playing, I've never found a rare worth that much. I gave up looking for valuable rares a long time ago in fact, 99% of what drops is garbage and a waste of time picking up. " Blight benefits, and only one scarab that wasn't essential for that strat got nerfed. Anything that adds extra mobs, like eldritch altars, Delirium, and Beyond, benefits. Ritual benefits as the mobs drop loot twice, including Cloister scarab mobs. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds. Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! " We have no scaling. They don't drop anything. " They removed 30% map mod effect and lots of T17 (T16.5) modifiers lost quant, rarity. They had to fully redo T17 fragment drops because quantity is so different now. " Blight benefits, and only one scarab that wasn't essential for that strat got nerfed. Anything that adds extra mobs, like eldritch altars, Delirium, and Beyond, benefits. Ritual benefits.[/quote] And yet they're all worse in T17s. |

" You do have scaling, though. There are still passives that grant +% explicit effect of map modifiers, including the notables that gives some based on number of mods you have on a map as well as quality. Just because it's no longer as cracked as it was last league, doesn't mean you don't have any scaling. And I'll be quite honest, I'm glad they chopped out 30% map mod effects. Stacking it and getting the "reduced recovery of mana" on your map turns it into a brick. That was a HUGE complaint on the forum back in 3.26, in fact. I guess I'm one of those who were least affected by these changes, because I have an aversion to anything that promises significant amounts of loot due to the expectation it'll be nerfed. Everyone jumped on Affliction and were completely lost when it got removed next league. Not me. "If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is." I chose to farm tile content instead of what scales best, because they've withstood the test of time and remain consistent in reward no matter how much GGG changes loot tables. And now, in the midst of the nerfs to some of the most easily accessible farming strats in the game, I'm doing just fine. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds. All what I understand is this breach changes were meant for POE2 but they end up here as a new league.
