Shapeshifting should have been tied to a druid ascendancy not weapons.

I don't there could be any skill expression or emergent tactics in a gamelike PoE2 for PvP.
I only play SSF and it is my duty as one to inform you of my status.

I'm glad it's not tied to the druid class as I'm greatly bothered by gender-lock and always played witch or ranger in PoE1 (only once did I ever try marauder) and would always do sub-optimal builds that constantly travel to marauder or even oposite side of the tree and do other theorycrafting workarounds to make things work. But I want to play as the wyvern so much and since I wouldn't be able to play druid, shapeshifting not being locked to it are a great thing for me.
Now to just wait to see the new passive skill tree to start planning and hopefully shapeshifting nodes are not locked to druid (just how minion/spell nodes change between witch and sorceress) bcs that would sadden me greatly. |

After seeing how the druid plays today. I no longer want to play as druid. Seems like a jack of all trades but master of none. You dont pick a shape and use your ability to shape shift and have acess to your skills in that shape. It works like any other weapon you hold in your hand. YOu use the charm to "poof into 1 of three animals each with 1 attack. Like any other magic spell. You use teh slam skill and your druid looks like a bear, you use the fire breath skill and your druid looks like a wyvern while doing it. The shape shift is visual only, the skills are like any other skills you spam, Im so disssapointed.

" I agree. Its bland and uninteresting. Shapeshifting is the star of the show and you are better off picking a familiar class over Druid that will obviously work well with the Shapeshifting. |

" Well the way I would have done it is, you choose a animal to shape into, and while your in that shape you have access to all the skill gems that it can use e.g. all melee skils for the bear, or magic skills for the wyvern. What we have now is you use bear stomp, and he turns into a bear instantly and uses that one skill, then you cast magma ball, and he changes to the wyvern instantly and uses magma ball, if you use any other skill, he turns back into a human. I miss being able to cast a spell, that has a support gem that turns it into another spell on impact. All we have now is support gems that damage buff. |

fully aggree with OP, druid should be the shapeshifter and not warriors, sorcs, pathfinders. they couldnt do it in poe1 already, now all of a sudden every ninja and theyre grandma can be a shapeshifting wyvern. nop druid should have been the only one

" That was my first character. And shes awful. Her damage is so low she cant even do T1 maps by her self. On one weapon tree I've got all the cold elemental damage nodes and speed nodes from the monk tree. And on the other skill tree I've taken all the chaos damage nodes and skills from the witch tree. She cant do either of them right. The chaos damage spells that exist are terrible (and nerfed this league), and because shes a staff user I havent speced into base "Spell" damage instead going for the attack nodes. And because she has no armor she gets stunned by anything she gets into combat with When the new league starts and she gets a reset, Im respecing her entirely on spell damage.
