If you can upgrade runes into greater, Why not orbs?

As the title says, it really doesn't make any sense.
You can upgrade lesser runes/essences to normal and normal to greater.
But you can't upgrade an exalted to a greater? or greater to perfect?

It would feel alot better especially in SSF if you could upgrade the orbs you accumulate to greater/perfect to have a more rewarding experience

ssf need a lot more QOL changes to be actual viablr choice but thats a good start

You can upgrade runes because it's like old bench craft.
SSF is not something they ever cared about. Deal with it.

This would reduce the value of perfect exalte, regal and chaos obs significantly, currenly these perfects orbs are less common then divine orbs. It depend if GGG wants these to be common or not, same reasons why we can't make T16 maps with 3xT15 maps.

The reason of existing T16 is that you can't sustain them alone. That's whole purpose.

I'd be ok with it if it was at a loss or cost was normalized against their relative rarity or something.


But to be honest, I'm ok with it not being a thing. I like that we can break the orbs down, so finding a big orb means I found lots of small ones. But I don't think I'm 100% on board with always being able to up orbs.

I like the satisfaction of finding the bigger orbs. (Which goes against my D2 history, since you can up runes there)

Perfect ex's are 9 exalts, A perfect chaos? oh thats 9 chaos, Not this stupid BS we're seeing rn, by the time endgame rolls around you should be given the ability to upgrade currency in currency tab just like augment tab

A perfect ex should not be 10-20 chaos, when I farm orbs, save them, there should be a way to convert just like runes/essences

The theory behind upgrading runes and essences still applies to orbs

The reason they are priced so high is because the ridiculous amount of rarity you need just to see 1 perfect ex, get rid of all of this junk

Bring us all to an equal level playing field, just like the runes/essences

So now when im farming in a map, I'll actually want to pick up all my exalts, infact may want to go out my way to kill more enemies in hopes of an exalt, then upgrade as I please

I thought they would do at release in 0.1 because in modern games is like this.. lost ark is like this new world was like this... etc etc Then I tried to actually do it in the bench but couldnt and felt odd to me...
