So what do you do/enjoy in this game

Don't even try, Wanted to get back into this season after the shitshow of a launch and after leveling my druid to 90(leeched for the first time ever because I was honestly just done, its not fun, never felt like this in previous seasons) Decided to make a merc, and it was even worse the 2nd time around
They ruined mapping by forcing bosses, so to even make progress after the campaign is another entire challenge. You immediately get doryani's quest Cataclysms wake, You have to do a corrupted nexus with 4 mods, So I did that, made my way to nexus, cleared all rares, went onto boss, no corrupted boss spawned, map was completed and all surrounding areas cleansed, but I still had the same quest telling me to do what I literally just did..... never getting my atlas points... It doesn't respect your time, its too reliant on RNG, no way to gurantee or target farm certain augments, everything even down to boss fights, is all RNG So to even get 1 character properly leveled and geared up takes atleast 2 weeks to a month unless your in a guild, group farming, or a streamer I wouldn't consider myself a casual, have been recovering from an injury over past 6 months, I have all the time in the world ATM to play games, I like challenge, dark souls all that jazz, have accumulated 1700 hours, and its worse and worse the more I play, the more I try... I've reached my breaking point with this game, Every map frustration latency spikes, its sad, making other characters and other builds shouldn't be this much of a challenge, I want to try things, experiment, and its literally not possible |

I can't even make it through the campaign once because I'm already an immortal god 1 shotting the entire screen before I finish it.
There's no point to keep playing to get stronger when I'm already this strong. The end game is even easier and never gets hard(unlike POE1), so I just give up and quit. |

" Unrelated to this. The Campaign is simply to long for a game you are supposed to paly every 4 months. “The bird of Hermes is my name, eating my wings to make me tame.” Last edited by Alzucard#2422 on Jan 6, 2026, 8:31:40 PM

that Act 3 feels like 2 acts together to be honest. Act 1 and 2 feel like a good pace.

" For me a 12 hour campaign (with average play, 8-9 hours for a blaster) would be the sweet spot for a campaign you play every 4 months. Personally, I don’t think it’s the actual campaign content that needs to progress faster, it’s your build / leveling that needs to move faster. I’d bet most players that say “the campaign is too long” are actually more annoyed at how long it takes them to get to the meat and potatoes of POE - having most of their build online, and having good drops of sufficiently leveled gear / currency to craft and trade that they can hold on to longer term. I think the true pain point is having to do 20h of grinding often without full access to the build you want to play, getting drops you know you will outlevel soon, and not getting enough good currency drops to really craft/trade (and why bother, you’ll outlevel it soon). I think the campaign could be left the same length if our characters leveled / progressed faster within it (and it scaled appropriately). And if the later acts could be “juiced” somehow, like maps, giving you better drops. With a campaign this long the goal needs to be making players feel like they are working on/using their “endgame” character while still in the campaign, then its length is irrelevant. It also could lead to a much smoother transition from campaign to the true endgame. As it stands the actual content of the campaign is good but the character progression through it feels like busywork that takes too long. Last edited by pattw555#0071 on Jan 7, 2026, 1:37:57 AM

" It's already less than that, if you actually play through it a couple of times I know where to go and what side quests aren't worthwhile for you. " So you mean... what it is right now. |
