0.11.0 Patch Notes

I can see why they nerfed Sparks crit chance but why not just raise the crit chance of the other lightning skills from 4% to 5% or even 6%. And now most or even all people can't use RF anymore they do not have enough Res to out heal the DoT. And the change to elemental adaptation i think is not so good now you can only get a max of 81% all Res (That's if you don't count the unique shield that adds 5%) Also now that Inner Force is at only 18% instead of 30% that's a 60% nerf to that set of passives so they are almost useless now but there still good (But i would not get them anymore, but that's just me)

And for all the people that say that im QQ'ing over the patch, your kinda wrong, None of my build get nerfed from this patch in fact most of them have gotten a buff, Now its just making me not want to try out different builds. Ill still try to make my Spork Totem build for the new leagues i just wont be as good.

Anyway i can't wait to see how the new Armour works and what the new Life nodes looks like now.

What? This means every character who took those is going to be gimp as shit. 40 HP vs 18% physical damage is a HUGE difference. I guess time to remake chars, huh?

Nerf to FP, EK and Spark in an attempt to make melee builds popular, but the reason why people don't play mmelee is because melee skills and support gems suck! GGG has got it all wrong.

I can answer for EK, because i'm pretty sure why it got nerfed. Since the boost the phys damage belts, if they didn't lower the damage of Ek, it could be more OP than it currently is. Think about it.
Nothing about desynch, resynch? nice...
The "nerfs" in this patch are in response to the rest of the rebalance and so that many builds are simultaneously viable. You can't complain that there are only seven good builds and then complain when we balancing the power level :P

Please note that the argument of "just buff the other skills, never nerf anything" has this cycle:
a) Buff bad skills: now everything is easy.
b) Game is now too easy: give monsters more life.
c) Values would now have all crept up: scale them all down slightly.

After those steps, it's exactly the same as just tweaking the abusive skills in the first place. Don't worry, we've tested the builds with the new balance and they're still really powerful. It's a pretty different experience now. My advice would be to try out your old characters, then respec them using the free respec if you want to make build changes. You can also play a new character in the new leagues.

Also, and I don't mean to rant about this, but it's a bit distressing reading that we "destroyed" a build when we just toned down its damage by a small amount in some cases.

I'm quite worried that the melee buffs are too high for the early game. In our testing over the last few days it has trivialised a lot of the challenge. We'll be reviewing it further tomorrow.

Btw , the leaked ones were the same , and you also banned the guy who posted em. lol .

I banned that particular throwaway account, yes. The leaked patch notes were a substantially out of date version - almost every line was rewritten since those ones were first drafted last week.

hmm did i miss it or is the armor reduction formula not changed?

It's not changed, but as you know it's based on monster damage which is a lot lower now. Because of this, armour has a lot more defensiveness now.

Edit: I just saw that Chris posted above me....

I would LOVE if someone was able to respond to the issue with Heavy Strike, or respond in the Heavy Strike Beta Skill thread. I really wanted to make a Heavy Strike Melee Splash build, but it's completely unusable in that way as it is right now with the desync.

I think Heavy Strike should be in the bug fixes. Just look at the Heavy Strike Skill thread and how everyone hates it.

Besides the knockback being terrible for groups, and makes you lose dps since you have to move and hit, and knocks monsters into walls.... it causes HORRIBLE desync if you try to use it with something like melee splash. It's basically a useless skill that could be made much better if knockback was taken out as a quick fix, and maybe anarmor debuff added to it or something.

Everyone is freaking out over the few real nerfs in this patch. Just adapt with it people. I don't see why people want to automatically scrap their characters because they have a little less damage. Weren't you basically one shotting everything???

Chill out and play it first ya divas.

I think you are thinking of the normal Oak reward. That reward is +40 Hp and is unchanged. The reward in question is from 12% physical to 18% physical. A buff, clearly.

Right, sorry, my mistake. What I meant to say is that 6% to 8% is a huge difference. Oak is now even harder to kill now.

Anyone who didn't make a char before the new patch is weaker than those after.
