Battlefield 3 or Modern Warfare 3?
Battlefield 3, no doubt.
The Call of Duty series has gotten worse since Call of Duty 2. Redeemed itself a little with 4 and then just plummeted. |

I find this interesting, that everyone is getting BF3. But comparing the players of each game, CoD seems to always kill BF.
I've been a CoD player for a while, and finally tried out BF2 last year (so I had Black Ops and BF2 both). I actually preferred BF2, for the epic scope/feel, teamwork, classes, vehicles, and destructible environments. My 2 buddies preferred the tried-and-true CoD, arcade feel. So we ended up sticking with CoD, and will likely do the same this time. But I agree with most folks, that I tend to like BF2 more. I was never spawn-camped in BF, and I never really see just 1 guy win a game of BF for the entire team, the way you see in CoD pretty often. Still, I did like the more varied gameplay modes of CoD, which was nice. But all-in-all, for the last generation of games, I preferred BF. I doubt much in the new version would change my opinion (though I do have to admit I liked MW2 a lot more than BO). |

Battlefield 3, hands down.
Unless MW3 has a destroying buildings and stuff function, then idk. Most likely still BF3 though just because I like team games xD https://www.Twitch.tv/odyttv

I prefer Battlefield, but to be honest, I'm not too down with the fact that EA can monitor everything on my computer. There is also the matter of Origin, I don't want another online store on my computer, put the damn thing on steam, so that I can have all my games in the same launcher.

Probably Battlefield 3, but I'm still a bit iffy on that. At the end of the day it's like comparing apples and oranges, and while I do prefer the BF style of play better, it does have its faults.
For the most part, the derivative id Tech 3 engine used in the COD series is fairly responsive and smooth during gameplay (well, at least IW's games... can't really say much about Treyarch), even though the engine itself is pretty old. DICE's Battlefield entries has always been fun, but the movement and gunplay never felt as fluid for me. I loved Battlefield: Bad Company 2 despite the smaller scale compared to BF2, but I would often feel that I'm tripping on debris or something, whereas movement in COD is pretty smooth. At the end of the day, I'll still go for the game that is fun... if EA doesn't make it any worse. Killstreaks has ruined COD amongst other factors, and if I wanted a squad shooter, I'd rather play Counter-Strike now. xeroslash - One-Hand/Shield Lightning Strike Templar

I'm shocked to hear myself say this, considering my immense hate for Activision and the way they treat their developers and customers, but EA is making it VERY difficult for me to be the least bit excited about Battlefield 3.
First, the server browser. I don't even know what happened there. I have never been so absolutely clueless as to why such a stupid decision was made. The only conclusion I could gather is that the website that handles server hosting is plastered with advertisements that net EA a bit of cash at the huge expense of the end user experience. There is no conceivable way that a developer would make such a ridiculous decision to somehow improve a game. Secondly, EA is approaching the competition between Activision and themselves in the most childish way possible. Early access to some weapons on pre-orders to boost initial sales? Again, sacrificing the user experience to get some extra dosh. EA doesn't understand DICE's ambition and dedication to the game. Typical of a publisher who doesn't give a shit about games and just wants to make money by riding off other people's talents. It makes me sick to my stomach. I won't be buying Battlefield 3. So being said, I have no intention to buy Modern Warfare 3 either. Neither franchises deserve their popularity. They're just.. incredibly average shovelware series. There are far better shooters out there that deserve more praise and attention. ..Both for gameplay and the creators dedication to creating a good game for the players instead of the shareholders.
