god the outrage back then was hilarious^^
but europe is pretty chill mostly so no problems getting this here. But airing anime on TV? nope not happening. still enough streaming services for everyone.

And yes teh season is boring, only really watching sabikui bisco and demonslayer.. actually was there ever a season this bleak?

Well, Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru (english name "My dress up Darling") is really, really good. Amazing source material and top tier adaptation so far. If you enjoy slice of life/romance anime at all, this one is a damn good one to watch.

And the last season of Attack on Titan (we mean it (for real this time)) is pretty good. That and I put too much time into watching that series to stop watching before it concludes.
I make dumb builds, therefore I am.
I read the manga of AoT and i found it okay, but not really more. and after the "evil" guys are revealed it gets downright stupid. Or not stupid, lets call it shounen logic^^ No form of insane animation will make me watch it I fear.

doll is okay, a bit heavy on the fanservice, but i do enjoy it. after all mieruko-chan last season was also etxremely good even with all the T&A.

still currently enjoying UN-GO hhaah those were the days xD

No subs but eh I've already watched it twice with the official Wakanim subs. Nothing beats the quality of original Japanese bluray anime. They just refuse to compress at all -- most series are 2-4 episodes a disc, whereas in the west they shove 6-7 per disc.

And no, this wasn't cheap. At all. Shipping alone was like $50US, because only Fedex is shipping to Australia right now. On the other hand, they're *really* quick. This despatched 8 days ago.

Edit: yep, as expected the bluray shows off the quicker cuts and the rotating shots FAR better than any online stream. This is definitely a cut above Babylonia overall but Babylonia has more balls-to-the-wall sakuga in its fights.

But given my personal preferences regarding Servants, soundtrack, and seiyuu, nothing will top Apocrypha for me.

related news: We watched the first two episodes of Grand Carnival. Somehow it has the voice cast Solomon was supposed to get. Pretty sure it was the biggest collection of top tier seiyuu outside of Isekai Quartet. Maybe even bigger.

Huh. My mace dude is now an actual cultist of Chayula. That's kinda wild.

Watched all of Aho-Girl and most of Kanojo mo Kanojo. The former is a LOT funnier (thanks to Aoi Yuki and Sugita mostly) but the latter has a coherent story and fewer complete dumbasses. Both make me wish Hiroyuki would tackle more 'problematic' manga tropes with their unique way of defusing it with ludicrous, literal characters.

Princess Connect. Wow.

I should probably finish watching that. Season 1 I mean. And then season 2.

Started it after some buzz and a full article on sakugabooru about s2e4. It was genuinely the best episode I've seen in ages, with a startling amount of on-model action.

But more importantly the whole show is of superior quality so a sakuga episode doesnt stick out as much as usual. Both the ep before it and the ep after have what would be sakuga for most other shows. And the director of Konosuba knows the exact tone to hit for a genre known for bland, incomplete messes (mobage adaptions that aren't Fate Grand Order).

And the cast is of course top tier since it taps all those waifus. HanaKana is especially on form, continuing her run of batshit crazy last seen with Jahysama.

There's some serious horsegirl money Cygames are pumping into their princess gacha cartoon. And since it's their own studio they can just keep going as long as it's profitable to do so.

Unrelated news: dennou coil finally hit netflix so we will start that tonight.

finished 86 right now. Other than the beginning it quite good. Even if i would have leked to see the desperate struggle of the kindom instead in s2 but well, maybe there will be a thrid season.

the season is slow, so maybe i give princess connect a go, some lighthearted fun is always welcome.

hmm dennou coil how very oldschool, but nice that netflix get those too

Priconne is basically wholesome, insanely well-animated Konosuba. The ONLY negative reviews I've seen truly didn't get the joke: the MC is a fucking dumbass and the show absolutely knows it. He is, to be precise, the McGuffin. Once you stop thinking of him as a 'main character' and more like a somehow-important thing the other characters need to protect, it all comes together.
