I have trouble with freezing on loading screen. Check my tread... https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/75592
Solution for me is set textures on MEDIUM quality. Next loading is ok. No freezing, no errors... Strange, but true. Game is look little bit worse, but better than always eternal error. This is solution for me. Try. I hope in any patch from GGG. |

This fix worked for me.

I tried this fix but I still get blue screens. They happen less frequently now but I still get them usually when i go to a new area.

Got a repeatable Blue Screen crash at the Mud Flats portal, first time characters would use it, after completing the medicine chest mission. Have had two characters do it, one had a complete computer lock up requiring forced reboot. This only happened the first time the portal was used, other moves through it were just fine.
I have a Creative Audigy card installed on Win7 using DanielK drivers. Going to try the software fix on another new character once the servers come back up. |

Well, put me down as another annoyed person, bsod. I have creative X-Fi, I would really like to know if this will be addressed anytime soon, and if so can you notify us, I'm not testing this out again. Back to that different game...I guess.

Running a Soundblaster X-Fi Titanium HD, regardless of reg key or --nosound I'm still crashing inconsistently. Sometimes I can play for 3-4 hours, other times 10 minutes. Running on Windows 8.
Trying software audio next, but at this point it's corrupted my disks so windows is repairing them... says it may take over an hour... _WAter_ |

Im not playing the game ever again unless this gets fixed fast. I have the creative x-fi card and I thought adding -softwareaudio would actually help against these BSOD's. Nope. Just played for 40 minutes and crashed again.
:( Edit: Oh I added the wrong command. --softwareaudio actually works lol. Previous to this command i had over a 100 fps, now its more like 20. Still not very enjoyable. Last edited by imbalord#6128 on Jan 27, 2013, 11:08:45 PM
