I understand that a lot of people appreciate the nudity in Path of Sexile, but I'd personally like the option to disable it since children could see it.

Thoughts?

Thoughts:

Do these same children have access to the internet ?

Do they watch anime or read manga, where over sexualized pedo-centric images of pre-teen girls are the norm ?

Do these children have access to cable programming ?

Pretentious ?

follow-up to my post, @Trinexx:

to make the game child-friendly, GGG will need to add both a filter to enable/disable nudity, and a filter to enable/disable blood, graphical gore, and all kinds of violence.
the latter at least, will require removing most of the game, and/or reworking entire zones and acts from the ground-up - because the gore is an integral part of the game.

Path Of Exile is - to me at least - a 18+ rated game.
it was designed this way, for a mature audience.
many zones, items and enemies are there to "make an impact" on the player.
an NPC in Sarn is there to "make an impact" on the player.
the lore contains very graphical descriptions of "experiments", human sacrifice, various sexual preferences, etc' ....
.........
............

making it child-friendly, will in essence require making a new Path Of Exile.

so you have 2 options:

1) be a responsible parent, and don't let your kids see any of it.
or
2) don't play the game.

I have to agree that if you are opposed to nudity in the game, simply do not play it.
It is plainly a game tailored to mature-audiences and should be treated as such.

It is the very reason age ratings were invented, and is the same principle as going to the movies. If you do not want your child seeing these images, do not allow them access to the games or movies in which these images are depicted.

Stop trying to force developers to censor or filter their product and simply take responsibility for your parenting choices.

I just don't like it. Why do I have to explain myself to you? My request doesn't affect you in the absolute slightest, so please stop shitting on my thread.

If a developer has to model non-nude monsters and npc then that takes away from developing time (and money) better spent on other stuff. So we are affected in that regard. And since you want others to do something for you, you have to explain yourself. Simple isn't it?

Also, not being religious has nothing to do with the degeneration of U.S. society.
I could argue, that a person doing good deeds without being religious makes him a better person than somebody who has to be threatened with hellfire to do something.

But, I am not going to argue that.

The game is rated mature for a reason, deal with it B)

in a game that starts with a guy getting his head bitten off.
in a game that has a whole level of corpse piles and flowing rivers of blood.
in a game that has an item modifier called "extra gore", which makes stuff blow up in bleeding chunks and limbs.

you are worried about nudity.

why the heck would you let a child see this?
I surely won't let mine go anywhere near it.

True, PoE is nothing for children, keep kids away from this game. I'm sure kids will not be traumatized by the nudity (tits don't kill), it would be more likely that gore is the problem here. Act 3 Lunaris, seas of blood for example. I'm against any forced censorship in games, we have to suffer from cut games here alot in germany, even 18+ games are often cut in violence (not in nudity of course XD ).
So I can imagine an OPTIONAL gore filter for PoE to please the sensitive players, but please keep the loveley female Statues like they are. ;)
