I understand why a more power full item is rarer and the closer you get to perfect the rarer stuff becomes. The good thing about this was that (for example) in D2 small pwoer upgrades where extremely expensive in endgame gear but, as i said, it was a small power upgrade.

In PoE the difference in power between a 4 link 5 link and 6 link is extreme.

I like the system more where the actuall pre/suffixes on items are rare/random , rolling a perfect caster amu with skills fastcast prisma resi health in D2 was insane and those things where crazy rare and expensive, but it wasn't such a huge deal to just have a amu with mediocre roles.

Is that link example for your ranger build? If so you can easily get BM and pointblank, needing only a 4l.

You don't need a 6l, this is coming from someone who had 3. If you can find or easily make one, sweet (trade it) use it and enjoy. But you don't need it, no one does. You can be strong enough with nothing higher than a 4l.

6l is a min/max type thing. If you are playing casually it's likely you are just looking for a viable and fun build. You don't have the time to invest in min/maxing your character decking him out with perfect gear. Knowing that you shouldn't waste your time trying to make a 6l, sell the fusings to suckers like me who get to the point where we have nothing to do but waste fusings chasing perfection.

It won't add to your experience, at best you have it for bragging rights. At worst, you'll never be able to support the mana cost (as it requires other godly gear) and just get frustrated with having one that you can't fully utilize.

Just wanted to ask you something. I used like 30 fusings on this bow and not even a 4L, mostly 2 x 3L. I don't know anything about itemlevel so wanted to ask you. This is the bow with itemlevel 61:

My question is, should i try more fusings or it is impossible to make 4L+ on this bow? (Because of itemlevel or something)

Okay but that is not my question. My question is, is it possible to make 5 or 6 link on that bow? I heard if itemlevel is low, you can't make 4L or more. Is it true?
