0.9.13i Patch Notes

This was a total frankenpatch. We decided to backport all our database performance changes to 0.9.13 that were created with the assumption that they were after a wipe.

For example, the balance guys had removed difficulty 4 and renamed all the internal keys for items and world areas because none of the items and most of the character data in the database at the moment matter after the wipe.

Getting all the database stuff that was made after that back in to 0.9.13 was a mess of conflicts and strange source merges. Unfortunately someone missed a commit that mattered after we renamed all the end game areas.

Oh don't take it as a personal attack, you guys do a great job. The problems just seems so random to someone who has no idea what you are doing.

I didn't. Just explaining how random things can go wrong.

Still, it wasn't good enough that we didn't detect this problem. Testing map areas should be on the list of mandatory to test before a patch goes out, and it wasn't.

We will try and do better in the future.

I think the phenomenal response time speaks much louder than the initial problem itself.
Or the fact that lead devs actually come to the community, tell them what actually went wrong, actually fix it, and then apologize in a manner that makes everyone feel like humans interacting... that is something rare and special.

Even most other indie devs do not have that type of relationship with their players.

yay for DCs
Haha dunno what to say here , but i will say this ...

Getting in game messages describing to a tee, the problems being experienced , and the actions being taken, is dam awsome.

You guys do it all the right way. Good job.

Cheers.

I'm a coach and I understand expecting perfection. I just wanted it to be clear I was just shooting out jokes not insulting you.

So i gather that the fact that somehow my char is totally messed up, like using passives that were never assigned to him, will be fixed as soon as you guys are able to put the proper finger on the proper problem?

or at least i will get a complete respec as soon as you are able to properly roll back.
coming home from work was never this confusing...
A few people are finding that they log in with passives already allocated.

We have a fix to this as well and it is going through in the same patch that we are building right now. Unfortunately the fix just prevents it from happening to future players logging in for the first time.

Anybody affected by this should send a screenshot of your current passive tree to the account "Rory" and he will send you enough Orbs of Regret to fully respec the passives that you were incorrectly assigned.

(This problem was caused by a missing NULL terminator. Doh!)
