People with insane amounts of Exalted Orbs

Its flipping, a very very minor knowledge of economics.

If I dont have to work or go to school and I flip for a day (When I say for a day it means im mapping all day and flipping when we run to town) I can make 20 ex fairly easily

The influx of new players and returning old players made this very effective as prices become increasingly unstable :)

120 ex is farrrrrrrrrr from being able to buy anything at any time, a mirror costs 150 exalts, just to get a shitty mirror copy of 1 bit of gear, how much do you think it would cost to buy that original item that is being mirrored? 400? 600? I'll clarify, with "anything" I ment basically anything you need to farm the highest maps and so on, make your build complete and functional and effective. I guess a chest thats supposedly worth more than 450 Exalts isn't required for that. I'm a "if it gets the job done" -kind of guy. And I understand some are "must be 100% of 100%" -kind of guys, and it's fine.

If youre an "it gets the job done" kind of guy you need a handful of exalts to clear pretty much any content in the game

I'm aware of that, been playing from the end of closed beta. But I wouldn't even imagine setting myself a goal of getting 100 Exalteds, I'd never have the time.

Every single game that allows trading is trade to win, plain and simple.

The only solution is to force players to be informed - a solution that is not possible.

I made 2 ex per hour while flipping certain items a few months back. I only did enough to get the 10 ex I needed though, but I could easily do the same thing again in the new leagues if I need the money.

Steps I made to realize that I don't want to be one of those people.

1. Enter Trade Chat. (really that was enough)

2. Read Trade Chat.

3. Respond to everyone buying something I have (Offer??)

4. Try to low ball people selling something

5. Repeat for 100+ hours.

Nah, I'm just messing, I stopped after step 2. Seriously though, I don't want to be rich in game. I traded for 1 item in this game and it wasn't fun. Sure, it wasn't THAT bad, but to do it enough to actually become extremely wealthy? *shudder*

If OP is related to Standard or Hardcore (permanent leagues), it's not very surprising. Those leagues are up for almost a year now. If it's in Domination and Nemesis, that's quite surprising, but I guess it's "do-able". As for the RMT-ing thing, I would be careful with that, as people tend to quickly accuse people of RMT-ing with no proof at all. Of course this 120exalts case, if it's in 4 months league, is maybe odd, but most of the time it's just "OMG he has better gear than me, nice RMT retard".
