Because EVERYONE used them.
EVERYONE could afford one gem. Now, there is an actual consequence for additional MS. Before, there was none. This creates weighing the cost benefits of MS. Before, this did not exist. |

Any feedback on Phase Run/QS is kind of pointless at this point. I don't think GGG's going to listen to any arguments against QS and Phase Run changes until you guys have played with the new flask for at least a week or two.

Well Phaserun could be used as damage booster as well on melee characters and there isn't any flask that increases damage by 50% yet.
If somebody wants movementspeed he will simply roll the additional movementspeed mod on lifeflasks during midgame. |

phase run was not the only skill to give a way to escape or farm faster,basicly even before OB im not using it.well i talk about meele build mostly and since 95% of the players are ranged....
i prefere whirling blade+faster atk support.with that,i can mouve even faster then phase run and if im surounded by monster,i can escape easier,faster. offcourse between the flask or phase run,i prefere phase run but my point was just to show that its not the only way to escape or farm faster and that flask is still optional. |

I never, not once, used phase run after I got into act 2 merciless, for me it was specifically and only for skipping content and running through things.
I will, however, use and abuse quicksilver flasks :3 |

While I think the new qs flask is an improvement over Phase Run (because it comes with a cost), I still don't think it's a dramatic improvement. Burst movement speed seems like an ability that is useful for all builds, ranged or melee, and I can't imagine any reason to not have one qs flask handy at all times.

Phase run was not only good for movement speed, but it also decreased monsters reaction time, and improved melee damage in an insane way. That was definately OP. And I like they removed it untill they balance it properly in the future, or leave it removed.
