Which part of his post do you disagree with? It's entirely accurate that unless you are exceptionally lucky, you are not going to obtain 200 exalted orbs by "just playing" and without doing the things he's listed.

The most common roadblock is map drop rate. Reading the threads in feedback should be clue enough.
I've read quite a lot about map drop rates, I read the wonderful and comprehensive Map Resource and so on. I had some low-level maps from my Duelist and when I leveled the shadow I grinded Piety until I had three full stash columns of 66 maps. I then started doing them, aiming to get high quantity/population mods, and for now everything is fine. My map base is slowly creeping upwards, I have almost three columns of 68s currently.
I gathered that sustainability becomes problematic around 74 (or 75?), but, well, this is endgame by any standards, it should be tough.
You have to be realistic about these things.

The part I highlighted is not true, I did none of that, and didn't even average close to 10 hours a day... people want to play the blame game.

I dont think that's a good attitude to have.
People that think like that are just looking for other people to blame instead of themselves.

Maps are way easier to sustain now than they were in Open Beta, and it is way easier to chain them up to the higher levels as well. That said, when you get to 90+ pretty much nothing lower than 76 is worth doing, because of miniscule experience gains, and they are by far the biggest obstacle to leveling at that point.
I'm using bored of a character around 85, personally, but as roadblocks go, it's a rather large one.

I'm quite curious as to how you managed to obtain 200 exalts, then. You must have gotten some very fortunate drops. I certainly had to no life like crazy on weekends to get the uniques, grinding out chaos recipes since nothing decent would drop.

I don't plan on leveling past 90, I see no point in it. If you can clear all content as it is, why would you want to level anyway? By that point any decent build should be completed. Move on to another character or switch to MF gear and farm if that makes you happy.
edit: that sounded as advice, I meant it as a description of what I'd do at that point.
You have to be realistic about these things.

Aye, if you look at my characters you will see that I reroll around 88, I can't handle that sort of grind, but a lot of people do want to play the same character and eventually get it to 100.

So you have 200+ exalted orbs without:
- being lucky,
- playing 10h/day,
- RMTing,
- flipping?
I want to say I don't believe you, but then we'll just do the "did - didn't" game, and that is pointless. Besides, I don't know you. Maybe we have a different definition of what "being lucky" is.
There is no real secret or skill involved in "getting rich" in this game. What is involved are all things that have little to do with actually playing the game (trading isn't playing in the ARPG sense). People who don't want to have to do "un-fun" things, but still have competitive ambitions, probably make the biggest group of RMT customers.
That brings us right back to the issue of PoE's design encouraging RMTing instead of discouraging it.

fortunate people dont understand poor people ;) until they realize the luck they had. the design of this game is rotten by rmt/bot and the size of ggg is not enough to fight against it because their mechanics promote it too much. In my opinion a full based RNG craft/loot system is just a pure shit and laziness (it's my personal opinion as a game designer)
