Right. :)
Do you need more than an hour to farm an ex?

I'd bet money that no ones makes one ex per hour reliably, at least not with self-found gear, or without a long ramp-up time (and having expensive gear already). Since you have only played Standard, I actually believe you that after a year of farming you may really pull in so much, but then, I also think you map with a group and a culler, so your experiences are really meaningless for the majority of players. We talk about averages here, not extreme outliers.

Have you done 6-man dominus runs with mf-culler?

You can make an exa with pure alterations in an hour(through boss farming)... People with highend gear can make more than that. Organized boss farming makes far more as well.
I did the former with self found gear when I started nemesis(duoing with a friend).

If farming means creating a thread on the RMT board I believe you.

See, those are the players I refer to. Ignorant and blaming RMT when others are not.

I don't believe it. Let's say on average a rare gives 10 alt shards, so 2 rares per alteration. Then Alterations to chaos is either 16 or 20, so either 32 rares or 40 rares per chaos. Then 20->30 chaos per ex. Low side, 640 rares culled, picked up, identified, sorted, sold to vendor. High side, 1200 rares per chaos. That's 10 rares a minute on the low end, 20 rares per minute on the high end. That is 3-6 seconds per rare to Kill Boss, Pick up item, portal to town, identify item, run to vendor, sell item.
If you are only talking about picking up the items, sure I can believe that, but actually converting the rares acquired to alterations in the same hour? Nope, don't believe it. Anyone wants to make a video showing near that sort of farming speed, I will give 6L Occultist in HC.

Your numbers are off (at least in standard). 1 ex = 280 alt. This cuts your numbers almost in half. And that does not include the odd high value drop that you get every 2-3 hours of Dominus farming.

You people claim you don't have 10 hours a day to play but you seem to find at least 8 to sit around and bitch on the forums everyday.
Your employers must not give a fuck that you guys spend all day bumping elbows in an online circle jerk.

Im actually blown away that this thread hasnt been moved.
GGG hides criticism related to things as simple as aura art but allows the population to see how poorly they handle RMT. Lovely :)
Id encourage all new players to take a look here. Paints a nice picture of how little is actually being done.
