Intersting. Life based Discharge with Vaal Pact seems an option now. However, hitting a monster with 1000 damage and 10% leech = 100 HP, reduced by 60% = 40 HP. Same amount that Life Gain on Hit provides - so you don't need Vaal Pact. Makes a difference though if the damage is more like 10,000 since this will heal you for 400 HP. No use in double reflect situations since the damage reflected will still be 3,600^^

I guess Life Leech is now only viable if you hit for massive damage in a non-double-reflect-scenario. And even then: what use is it when it doesn't queue up --- seems to me it's only purpose is to leech massive life back off occasional hard hits to bosses...

Everyone is always excited for patch notes on a content patch... I always hold my heart in fear, so vulnerable cause you know nerfs are coming...

Some builds were strong and very fun. Now the game is only getting harder (which is good) but characters are getting weaker, which is not good... I like the feeling of being in control / being OP... This feeling sadly is fading every patch...

the point is that leech due to attack speed is kinda nerfed. If you do 20 hits per second for 1k each, you'll only leech off 1k and that's it. If you do one big hit of 8k per second, you leech of that big hit. Basically its encouraging to stack attspd less and more usage of slower bigger hits/crits


The way I see it, life leech is just more effective if you get a crit for example. It tops you off quicker, instead of queueing.

I think corruption wouldn't be so bad if it were just possible to un-do the corruption, but then make that item uncorruptable. Still only 1 corruption per item, but if it ends up destroying the item then it can be returned to usefulness.

Even if the cost is like, a sacrificial garb and an exalted orb as a vendor recipe, it'd at least be there as a possibility.
