Queen Atziri vs. Summoners

Well I'm not sure about the trio. I just noticed that it is fairly useful in a lot of situations, but it would be a bit cheesy if they would be cancelled out by just blinding them, since all 3 of them are attackers :P. So maybe they have a certain buff in accuracy to make them less vulnerable against this debuff.
GGG seems to love giving bosses extremely strong aoe attacks.

these destroy all your summons at once making it really difficult.

however, with necromantic aegis and very high spell block, it might be possible to keep them alive long enough.

things like the degen clouds in the trio fight are really strong and spell block won't help with that.

i know i'm damn impressed that anyone can beat atziri with a summoner, never mind uber (which seems impossible).

Ive been searching 3 months now for clues as how to kill the 3 dudes in HC without 6L shavs and lvl3/4 empower gem because i would need about 150+ ex. I tried 4 times but after killing 2 of the 3 i always get overrun by the hordes with no time to resummon.

Any HC summoner out there who can help me out ? Or is 100+ ex gear the min requirement in HC ?

exactly. even with snapshot it's still impressive.

and his build could definitely take out normal atziri without snapshotting which is still impressive to me.

I assume he is a LL Summoner?

We already established that due to the many auras they can beat Atziri and Uber fairly easy. But now do the same without Snapshotting on a Life-Based or a CI-Summoner. The amount of people owning Shavs is still fairly small.

And he snapshots not only Minions, but also Auras. He can't even fit all the gems he is currently using in his build without snapshotting, since he uses 6l Zombies, 6l Spectres, Cwdt, 7 Auras and Montreguls + Chober Chaber for Super-Minions. After the the patch he will lose one of the 6l, maybe one of the Auras or even two and a lot of Aura-Effect.

He loses a lot of Max-Resists (also as do his Minions) and his Minions likely lose up to half their HP and a lot of damage. I mean he has not only one weapon to snapshot minions he has 3 and a +1 Tabula. Thats an incredible power-spike. He also seems to use Trap/Mine to increase damage so he basically uses every way you can benefit from snapshotting.

And even though LL-Summoners are propably still able to farm Atziri, Uber might be fairly tough or completly off limits and I can't see a Life or CI-based Summoner, something most people will call their own, beat Uber at any time, they might be able to kill (not farm) Atziri, but I doubt that they manage to bring down Uber-Atziri, but I'm fairly happy if someone proves me wrong.

I mean just to sum up whats wrong with uber Atziri and Summoners, lets see how he prepares for a fight:

1. He switches in simula casts the bloodmagic auras, he removes simula puts on Alphas Howl and casts the Mana-Auras

2. He summons Zombie with Montreguls and some with Chober Chaber (I assume on Tabula)

3. He use the +1 Gem staff and puts in 3 Supports + Remote Mine and Trap. he casts the trap/mine and before it triggers he removes the trap and mine supports with two other supports. That way he gets 8l Spectres.

If that is the only way to beat Uber Atziri it is indeed a fairly poor sign.

Without snapshotting its nearly impossible to kill uber asziri...

Use.SRs and you can handle her perhaps.

But srs isnt a summoner in my opinion.

Well the thing is you lose out on a lot of stuff.

As a Life-Based or CI-Summoner (the later is even worse) you lose out on Midnight Bargain. So you basically need Bones and ideally one more spectre for permanent Bubbles, since only having 3 is a bit risky, since your zombies might not get that much fire-resist and life as they did with snapshotting.

You are limited to about 40% Mana-Reduktion in 1.2 with Alphas Howl, which is most likely problematic for CI-Summoners. So you will only have access to maybe 4 Auras, 5 if you only use 1 60% Aura, maybe you get even 6 40% Auras, which is possible, but not that likely since it makes it problematic to resummon zombies.

So you could at least run 3 Purities and Vitality, which would give the Life-based Summoner fairly poor Defenses and propably a similar issue for CI since both need Necromantic Aegis with Saffels to protect minions from Spells (for the other fights other shields might be better, evt. Perandus for Trio).

So the Summoner himself does not have access to the stats of the shield and Life based Summoners might already struggle with Life if they want to get all Minion and Aura-Nodes.

Without Snapshotting even the LL-Summoners might have issues. The only way to use Life for Auras would be PG or the Gem, the Gem is fairly expensive and PG would not allow Necromantic Aegis. They also have to keep Alphas Howl actually on their head to benefit from it, which means they are not only forced into the shield, they might even be forced into the helmet, removing the possibility for a +2 Minion-Helmet.

Another concern besides the survival of zombies would be places for gems. Lets just go with a minimum of 4l Zombies and 4l Spectres and only 6 Auras, 3 in the Gloves and 3 in PG. This means Helmet for Zombies, Chest for Spectres + Fleshoffering and Desecrate (since the Spectres are linked with Increased Duration it makes sense putting it there, if they are also linked with Spellecho Desecrate summones more corpses and offering explodes all at once anyway). So at this point we have 3 Links in the Wand and 4 Links in our Shoes and the possibility for 2 Unsocket Rings. We might still want to place Convocation somewhere, evt. Boneoffering. We could use Spell-Echo + Enduring Cry in our Weapon and use both unsocket rings for Convocation and Boneoffering. Immortal Call, Increased Duration, one Curse and maybe Reju-Totem for Shoes. This leaves us with one Slot in the Wand.

And although two unsocket rings aren't necesarry, since you don't need increased duration and the Reju-Totem both provide safety for the summoner and more support for minions (Reju Totem is actually fairly awesome with Aura-Nodes).

So you might actually run into issues with the amount of slots you have. Exspecially without Unsocket-Rings. Life or CI-Summoners have a few more Slots, since they can't run that many Auras, but this means no Hatred, which is a great DPS-Boost for Zombies and Evangelists.

The thing however is, with Snapshotting gone, we might actually see some new cool items for summoners. Let's just think what would have happend if the following ring would have been implemented in the game:

Unsocket Ring:
-1 Spectre
Spectres have 10% Chance to cast the Spell in this item on hit

People would simple summoned spectres with this ring and replaced it later. That isn't a suggestion it just shows why snapshotting made it impossible to create cool new summoner-uniques or balance the old ones like Montreguls.
