Question about respec
It's very daunting, I understand. I'm not totally new to the this game. But, I still don't know what I really wanna be when I grow up in PoE levels. I am playing Shadow with bow and mostly frost/chaos (poison arrow/punture). I don't want to look at other people's cookie cutter or "OP" builds. I want to make this game something of my own... I'm level 49 now in Hardcore... I looksed at the time played at it's just over 1 day. Not too much of a setback at the moment. Cruel ACT 2 boss will probably send me to SC :)
I say that experience the game first, learn what gems/skills do, what weapon and class you like best and then worry about where to put the points. Everyone has to learn the game when they start. I guess what I'm trying to say is that. I like that there's no easy respec. I like the leveling and finding shiny things :) |

" Peachii said it best here. If you were able to easily respec, it takes away a special gameplay quality that comes with making commitments (at least in my opinion). If John Doe came up with an awesome idea for a spec, he doesn't want any random bloke to be able to copy him easily. When getting from point A to point B can be easy, the destination isn't as gratifying as opposed to working towards it. I guess the theme of the whole concept is appreciation, and that the challenge of working towards reaching what you want yields more fun. I remember when they released respec in D2 it took away some game quality for me. Not being able to instantly be the spec you want with the items you want is why most people played on closed battle.net instead of open battle.net.
