[2.6] Essence Drain (Work in Progress)

Hello there Chaos-Fans!
Are you in love with chaos skills like me ? Then follow me on my trip to make Essence Drain great again! (Warning: Bad english incoming) Build Theory:

The goal is easy. Cast Contagion on a group of enemies and then cast Essence Drain (ED) on one of the enemies in the group. When ED kills an enemy that is infected by Contagion it spreads his own remaining time of the dots of Contagion and Essence Drain to enemies surrounding and that can chain.
Current Build 18.03.2017 - 16:15 Current Live Tree (Please understand that this is NOT the final tree but the one I am currently live at. I am also a VERY poor player, so don't expect any Build demanding gear that costs a few exalted orbs.) Leveling:
Optional Starter Gear
Level 1 - 12
To level from 1 to 12 use Freezing Pulse or if you have 2 Lifesprigs you can use Blight too. When you hit Level 12 get Essence Drain as Quest Reward from Nessa.
Level 13-31
We now have access to the most of the gems we need.

I just defeated Malachai. Died once because I thought I could tank that one hit... well I couldn't. Else the fight was no problem at all. Onwards to Cruel!
Just killed Brutus. He went down in ~12 seconds, see Videos. Entered Act 3 Cruel and did normal Labyrinth. Videos:

Iam also doing ED, this is what i got so far
Its pretty good, but kinda sucks too in a way i dont like the "feel" of it, (i had kinda looove bladefall / stormcall alot, being able to like paint the screen) or blight feels cool but it doesnt hit, thats lame, - so blight doesnt give that essence of delirium effect, or curse :/ thats lame as hell... but i want PURPLE!! PURPLE SCREEN!!! PURPLE EXPLOSIONS!!!! and the Occultist portrait is awesome! Iam CI with ~7600 ES right now.. " Thanks for your input! Yes, Essence Drain is a slow spell, but it always was, so that is not a real problem for me. My only fear is, that the AoE nerf hit Contagion too hard but I will see about that. 2 Patches back I ran Essence Drain until the first T3 - T5 Maps or something like that. It was a good feeling when a map had big mob groups and ED + Contagion ripped through them... Lovely. Obliteration is something I am considering too, but my hope is to find a Breath of the Council as it has mods that look perfect for this build: More AoE, More Chaos Damage, longer dots... As helmet I very hope to find a Heretics Veil, but I highly doubt I'll have have that or BotC ever on my hands... My luck is just... well... baaaaad. TwitchTV: http://www.twitch.tv/akumanotsubasa

LOL i have a stupid amount of cast speed https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1835679 breath of the council ONLY drops from the pale council map - its prophecy end game it cost me 60 chaos orbs to buy from poe.trade essence drain gets damage + DoT damage from spell damage buffs.. idk why this person doesnt take spell damage, its better than the chaos damage buffs isnt it? Until now it works quite fine. Normal was not a problem, just died a few times because I was to lazy to walk... whoopsy. Now I am in Act 2. Hope it stays like it is :)
