Abyss is breach 0.5

This is painfully obvious any time you encounter a breach in maps. Abyss sounds really similar to breach with tons of monsters spawning and tough rares, but all the ways in which it's different simply make it worse even if they sound good. What abysses really feel like are low density breaches that spawn in the corner of a narrow map where you open it up, also known as bad breaches. In this scenario, you kill a bit, then advance a bit, rinse repeat until it's over. Sound familiar? This is exactly how abyss plays and pretty close to how harbinger played too. It's boring and feels like a chore. Compare this to a good high density breach in the open where you start off frantically killing an overwhelming number of enemies that have spawned all around you and as it expands you run around the edges killing like crazy trying to keep it going as long as possible. It's exciting, fun, and adds variety to the game.

You aren't going to top breach with a similar design. Just increase our breach spawn rate, make it more accessible on Zana, and come up with something completely different next league.

Totally agree.

It's also really annoying how abyss enemies take a while to come out of the ground.
Think its wrong direction, for me the most "fun" not efficient league was invasion.
Every third map someone died to 50 fireballs and all the rest tp out, the laughs made it fun, not the easy extra xp.

Even more apparent when you come across both in maps, abyss dose not feel like it will overwhelm you, breaches sure as hell did, the monster density is easily doubled or more in a breach and it's more rewarding to do breaches.

I still feel they should re add breach properly not gating it behind maps at such a low spawn rate.

The worst part is that abyss cracks make you backtrack through half of a already cleared map. Also abyssal depths are pretty useless to run, sometimes I just feel like skipping them, the narrow corridors and a bunch of jewels belts that are not even worth picking up due to their common drop rate. Still better than harbinger but can't top breach in any way. I hope GGG gives up on trying to make wannabe breach leagues and comes up with something nice and fresh.
When you don't think of this league as another breach league it really isn't that bad. While the belts/jewels are a tad overload atm. Next league though, if we see them as much as breachs in map, then these super common items are much rarer.
