Frequent Pauses While Moving

So with the new league/patches/whatever, a new bug has started occurring while I play. When running, holding down LMB (With just movement bound to the LMB), frequently but inconsistently, seemingly at random, my character will just.. pause. For as long as one to five seconds. They'll just stand there while I hold LMB and try to get them to move, and then just abruptly start moving again after a random amount of time has passed.

This happens in and out of combat, so it's not a matter of my attack skills/spells. Even when not attacking or casting, it will still happen while moving. And for the life of me I cannot figure out why this issue has popped up all of a sudden. I even tried changing the batteries in my mouse to see if that was the issue, but it resolved nothing. The only thing that has changed is the patches that PoE implemented.

Any potential solutions, guys?

Is everything freezing or just your character? Do you get sudden spurts of super-fast movements of everything on screen after the stop happens? Does it stop you from executing other skills while you are stuck?

If yes, then hit F1, three graphs at the top of the screen will be visible, the one in the middle shows your latency, meaning how good your connection to the server is. Normally this is a relatively even line. If it has lots of ups and downs then you should be high when the character stops and low when you can move.
If that's the case then you are one of the unlucky people that are affected by the connection issues of https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2453991

If everything happens normally and it's really only the movement of your character, then I'm out of ideas as well.
Yeah i have had this happen this league as well (tho, not after the latest patch) where my character would just simply stop moving, it's not a lagg spike, the ping is perfectly fine, it's as if my LMB just suddenly had gone done decided to take a break for few seconds.
No rest for the wicked.
No, it's like Daiena said. It's as if my LMB went on break for a few seconds at random. It's only my character stopping moving, nothing else. It's caused me to die a few times already. I've kept an eye on my ping with those graphs and latency is not what's causing it. I average ~30ms when I play and it's not spiking when my character decides to pause in movement.
This one just started for me tonight. Yesterday I was fine and running w/o any problems. Frame time is 16.x, Latency is ~50 and the FPS is 60-61.

Something I did notice. I'll click far away so I have time to test, quickly hit enter and just type gibberish. My character walking stutters but my typing isn't affected. The game is not playable at this time.

I have an i7 processor, 8gb ram, 1TB SSD and a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. I'm running on Windows 7, 64-bit (SP1)

I just changed the Networking Mode to "Predictive" from the Character selection screen (Options -> UI -> 3rd Option on the form). This takes away the choppyness of walking. Will update if I see any other issues but it was on "Auto" before.

I can confirm this made a big improvement for me as I was experiencing a similar issue. However the option is now located under Options>Game
