A Year in Exile With Mike1Up

Hello all, I'd like to welcome you to join me in spending a year in exile.

Who am I? I'm a long time gamer. I played POE in the early days in 2013/14 when it was only 3 acts. I mainly enjoyed the race leagues and hardcore play. I stopped playing the game and streaming due to other life commitments and work. Due to new events I have found myself in a weird position where I am free again to pursue my love for this game and streaming. I'm amazed at how far this game has come and can't wait to relearn everything it has to offer.

What is A Year in Exile? What are my goals?

I decided to spend a year in exile for a few reasons. Mainly this game has changed so much that to reach the level of play I left at I would need to reinvest time to learn and master every part of this game.

I will open up and do viewer games and events throughout the year as the community grows.

PSA:

During the start expect a bit slower the normal pace of game play to allow me to fully absorb all the new information, and teach other new players everything I know and all the new stuff I have learned along the way. I do plan on rounding out the year mastering SSFHC and shift my focus to a more race/speed run play style as I regain my balance in Wraeclast

Week One Update

The first week has been a long one. There is soooooooooo much i didn't realize I had to learn. Luckily I was blessed with some skilled vet players stopping by the channel to show me the way. I was able to level to 91 in MetaMorph League, Clear the 10 act story ( clearly if I'm 91 LOL ) Cleared 82/154 Maps. Collected 16 watch stones and even found some gear that apparently is " worth a lot " according to chat.

I've Update the Goal list with progress and added some more goals that i need to work on. Hope all who have joined me on this adventure are having as much fun as I am. Aiming for 100 by next week ( unless leveling brick walls and i need 2 more weeks ) then we will be moving to Hardcore and the real fun will begin.

2nd week down and what a week it was! Sadly I did not reach level 100 and I'm currently sitting hard stuck at 95 :) How ever with one goal failed many more have been finished. I was able to clear out the syndicate. Have a date with Atziri and laid her to rest. Found an old man reshaping the world in a distant reality. Even Sirus, Awakener of Worlds fell to my beyblade of death.

3 Weeks in and I'm still sane :)

I was able to get to 96 in MSC and starting to think a level 100 in each league ( MSH,MHC, SSFMHC ) might have been a very ambitious goal. Elder went down but uber elder... well we got a year right :)

All maps 154 maps have been cleared so one big goal done, but we are still on the hunt for the last watch stone and Sirus x8 kill.

I took a break from the 96-100 push and started my Hardcore character. Still alive at 71, and the 10 act story is done. Now the real fun begins :)

4th Week Update & Plans for Next Month

My 4th week was much slower progress wise as i spent most of this week focused on Hardcore. I was able to get to 89 and still alive. So Hopefully we can get to 100 and check this goal off :)

I also noticed that i can kill all the MSC bosses and had some viewers ask if i could kill theirs. This allows me to practice all the endgame bosses so I'm ready for hardcore endgame. I'd really enjoy helping everyone get their boss kills in MSC. I will not take any of the drops, won't ask for anything in return ( except for the practice ) and will be streaming it all so u can be sure nothing shady is going on :)

2 Month Update

2 months in and the league is coming to an end. Sadly my HC toon Died 2 bars away form 99. I was able to avoid Martyr Touch for 50 days with no problems. Well i learned the hard way that shit is still OP OP.

So with the renaming 8 days of the league i Will try to push the 97 MSC to 100 and then prepare for the new league. Delirium looks really exciting but sadly not very Hardcore friendly, but that is where i will be spending my time in the new league to chase my white whale and get that level 100 hardcore toon.

Thank you to everyone who has joined me for these 2 months it has been a blast. I'm super excited to see what Delirium will bring to the game, mainly the new jewel passives.

End of League Update

Well Metamorph is over and i had a blast, Now im stuck in limbo as i await Delirium. My goal list will be worked on and adjusted for the new league.

I'll be spending most my time in HC for Delirium chasing after my 100HC toon that i was so close to getting in Metamorph.
