Fanart - Belly of the beast creature

Myself and a colleague came up with this creature straight out of the Belly of the Beast
I imagine it's some sort of formless fleshy mass that found a skull and decided to imitate the general shape of a humanoid in an attempt to lure its prey with a silhouette in the darkness.
