My weapon disappeared and is completely gone.

I am so frustrated!!!!!!! I went into the mine at Highgate. I immediately got killed and then clicked on waypoint to place me back at highgate. I immediately went back in to my mine encampment and went back into the mine....then I died immediately again and noticed my 1handed Axe was gone!!!! Not in stash or inventory. I went back in thinking maybe dropped it.....it just was gone. I checked forums and checked my workbench....it’s nowhere to be found. I am soooo wtf????????? I need help and want my weapon back!!!! Did you press "X" maybe and did a weapon set swap? Or from the Character panel look above the weapon slot and click the "I" or "II" to see if you still have it.
