Loot sound

Hadn't played for a couple of days and when I started a map just now I could for some reason hear all loot drop very clearly, I mean every single gear, even those hidden with the filter, which I'm certain wasn't the case before, the difference from before is extremely noticeable.
And I don't mean the sound from my loot filter, I mean the default sound of loot dropping, it isn't affected by filter volume either.
It's kinda driving me mad tbh and it feels like the game performance is affected as well.
I have made no changes to settings at all. Tried restarting the game but it's the same.
Specifically it's the sound from armour based gloves/helmet/chest/boots gear, don't notice any sound from evasion or energy shield gear but that could be because the armour sound is more noticeable.
I have tried rebooting, running packcheck and changing channel count, still the same. Gonna try reinstall later when I have time.

Edit: I noticed that the sound is not actually from loot dropping but from monsters dying, I hear the sound even if there's no loot at all, super weird.
Reinstalling did not work...

Did some more testing. Apparently the bug only exists on one of my characters, MuppSNAKE, and only in zones lvl 57 or higher, at 56 or lower it works fine for some reason.
Anyone have an explanation as to why this might be happening? I sadly don't have another computer to try on to see if it would be the same.

Edit: I figured out the bug. I have an incubating scarab item on my chest that's at 100% but won't drop the scarab for some odd reason and is probably why I only heard the sound at lvl 57+ because that was the monster lvl required for the scarab. Using another incubator removed the bug but it might still be something GGG would want to look into.
