Aurabot, worth getting Champion of the Cause nodes?

Never tried an aurabot before so forgive me of this seems dumb. Is it generally worth the passive investment though to get the Champion of the Cause cluster on the bottom left quadrant of the passive tree?

Originally started wanting to try a guardian Templar for more tank but some of these nodes seem so spread out I'm thinking I might just go Scion instead. (Generally I hear has less tank but better balance with DPS)

Not following a guide because I couldn't find one for 3.20
