World Map Icon (Waypoint Indication)
Hi, it's currently very hard to tell whether an unexplored zone has a waypoint in it or not. And since new player can't tell from experience they end up exploring whole areas (Terraces, Fetid Pool, Rivers Crossing) just for the off-chance of there being a waypoint.
Now, I've found a way to circumvent that in-game but it's time-consuming and inconvenient. Take a look at those pictures: ![]() In p1, the new zone is unexplored, you can't tell whether you can save your progress in there or not. In p2, the player has already stepped inside the area but still has no idea if waypoint is available. p3: the player backtracks one area and it is now visually clear to him that the new zone hosts a waypoint. Now my suggestion: There is no logic to making a new player backtrack like that. So either upgrade the visuals in point 1 or in point 2 to make it immediately obvious whether a new zone hosts a waypoint or not. "Stick it with the pointy end."

It is not as difficult as all that, really.
Open your map. Look at it. Black dots mean that that area has no WP. Big Gold/Yellow dots mean that you have found the WP for that area. A Small Gold/Yellow dot inside of a black dot means there is a WP there but you haven't found it yet. Furthermore, if you highlight a location (including the one you are currently in) you can see a WP icon in the mouseover information that appears (if you've visited at least once). If there is no WP there, there will be no WP icon. How will you know what the WP icon looks like, you ask? Well, it's the small icon that looks like a WP. Good luck! As dashgalaxy86 said, look for the icon next to the area's name:
