How to post an image in forum post.

In a forum post (like this one), how do you post an image? What I want to do is post a screenshot so I can ask a question about something on screen. It would be difficult to explain without a screenshot. There is an "image" button as one of the tools, but I tried copy pasting with that and it didn't work. Thanks for your help!
