Lightning Strike of Arcing
I'm yet again intrigued.
So, as I understand the skill, as it doesn't say "remaining chains", it just gives a 10% MORE damage boost per chain. Now, how will this skill work with strike skills hit additional targets? Will you get another 9 chain arc per target, or do you have to add projectiles for that? Lastly, how is this skill different from lightning-only Wild Strike? Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you. Last bumped on Dec 8, 2023, 8:18:21 PM

What I would like to know if you get the damage multiplier of 90% right away or only after it has chained and every chain ads 10% more dmg.

" As the wording is now, it doesn't say "after it has chained" or "remaining chains" (as other damage-to-chain mechanics say), so I interpret is as a straight out damage boost. Hell, it doesn't even say that it's the projectile(s) that gains the damage boost, so... Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

" I know. I am afraid it is just pure lazy wording. If it gets this 90% more damage multiplier right away then I log this in as a league starter.
This gem looks insane from the perspective of a LS pleb like me who has never played the skill at endgame. Maybe they removed the ground targeting?

" That would make sense, actually. Based on that, though; what the hell separates this from lightning-only Wild Strike? Especially if they've removed ground targeting? Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

It's 10% more damage per projectile has chained. The projectile deals 100% damage to the first target, 110% to the second target, 120% to the third target ... 190% to the tenth target.
Projectiles from striking additional targets (Ancestral Call) or additional projectiles (GMP) count their own chains. The question is will this projectile be able to chain to the already hit target, like Arc.
" You seem certain, and while I do not doubt you, do you have a source/quote or an already existing mechanic to back this up? Just to make me 100%? " This is huge. " Doubt it, but who the fuck knows. Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

" And where is the proof? The wording doesn´t imply that at all
It does say "per chain", not "per remaining chain". So unless they decide to change it and make it trash, this skill gem seems very fun and good.
