How to calculate monster damage?
Hi. For example - Stagnation map, t16, Murgeth Bogsong
GSSwampBehemothRockSmash Spell, Triggerable Critical Strike Chance: 5% Cast Time: 1 sec Deals 5198 to 7797 Physical Damage is area damage [1] monster penalty against minions damage +% final vs player minions [-75] how much damage it should deal? on white map 7800x1.6(monster damage)x1.7(monster rarity)x1.15(monster level)=up to 24400, right? why is it one shooting characters with very high defence on WHITE map? I opened this thread and the first line I read was "GSSwampBehemothRockSmash"
Knew immediately it must be our old friend stagnation boss, overtuned since inception :p for reference poedb says 2500-3800 phys in a T1 which is frankly a colossal hit for shit tier map. Poedb lets you choose the level of a boss to see its values at each breakpoint OP just keep in mind some attacks have specific weird rules like doing a multiple of base, converting or doing 50% less etc so you have to check the boxes carefully. The very high defences will be missing information about your defences, if you have very high defences you won't particularly care about getting dunked even in a T16 conversely it can be your characters greatest weakness usually overcome by just instagibbing said target. |

" Max dam is probably: 7797 * 1.7(unique) * 1.3(crit) = 17231 Not 100% sure. Method I use here is based on testing some leagues ago. Method did not work for everything, especially not for anything derived from "Base Damage:" on map bosses. No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!
