Elemental Weakness gem not working in Profane Proxy ring

Hey guys,

Newer player here. I'm trying to place an elemental weakness skill gem in a Profane Proxy ring to get the +3 to skill on it. When I place it in the ring, it won't allow me to use the skill, but when I place it in any other piece of gear, it works. I'm sure I'm overlooking some newb thing, but can't seem to figure it out. Thanks in advance for any insight.

I think you have to use Skitterbot with the Profane Proxy ring to get Elemental Weakness working.

Left Ring Slot: Your Chilling Skitterbot's Aura applies Socketed Hex Curse instead
Right Ring Slot: Your Shocking Skitterbot's Aura applies Socketed Hex Curse instead

This ring is just blasphemy support for your skitterbots.

I am using skitterbot skill, but I still cannot cast the elemental weakness when socketed in the gem. :(

Wait, I think I get it now. The elemental weakness is automatically applied to the skitterbots. I don't have to cast it. Live and learn. Thanks, everyone.
