Remember poe.trade?

GGG ended it when they introduced pathofexile.com/trade
you can end TFT the same way by introducing a chat room system.

TFT exists because GGG missed something the community needed, take the responsibility and fill it.

Or better yet revamp the whole trading system, it's been 10 years, it's time.

As a newbie, it seems strange that irrelevant people are making up for the shortcomings of a game studio.

i dnt care the x peoples drama. All im saying it looks weird for a game studio.

Maybe stop giving this much power and make a qol update about trading? I am with OP about trade update. I am newbie and i have to use tft discord for trades. It feels wrong.

ps: srry for my bad english.

-fist bumps- yup.. they need to.. BADLY.

don't... they are fully capable, owned by a massive company (tencent), raking in loads of cash more than they were even making when they weren't owned by tencent and can revamp their trade system it's been long enough and the fact they leave it to the players to deal with and make the players constantly go out of game even is just sad..

it's lazy development and putting the ability to even control markets in players hands which shouldn't exist, it shouldn't have ever existed but they wanted to be lazy and wait it out till it got bad enough. then they made their cheap way to deal with it on their site because they didn't want to put the dev time to design a proper system in game.

I am learning game development.. learning how to do this stuff myself even mind you it looks ugly as crap and isn't polished.. with nice visuals..

it's not as super complex as they make it out to be.. it's just being lazy.. especially since they all get paid.

we been screaming to move the website trading in game , be it auction house ,
or some other solution , We are gamers we dont want MORE social interaction , we want less .

As for your vision of the game , thats cool and all , but we are 100k + people who want it , and you are less then a 100 devs who play the game or something .

give us what we want .

( it will also solve the price fixers , NO ONE likes them , no one wants them )

Owned or not, that does not mean they suddenly have the actual manpower to pull off way more load than before, also when you listen to certain interviews they literally explained that manpower had to be divided between Poe1 and Poe2. And in regards to increasing your manpower: They also referenced that at some point, and it seems it was particularly difficult to find new employers during the Covid-situation.

It´s always funny when people barely finished their university, are falling into their first jobs and already have the knowledge to explain the world to others, isn´t it? Yeah sure, you might be learning game development... But I think no one of us is actually thinking "hey, GGG is not CAPABLE of implementing that", it is a deliberate choice and quite a lot of standpoints, beliefs and visions play into that. If you break this down as a simple process that they could simply do, and should since "they get paid and are just lazy", well then I wish u good luck in the fortunes you have in front of you in the employer market - you will be up for some interesting surprises.
You think a chat section where anyone could essentially do "Mirror Trades" would be a good idea?

I mean logic would dictate if this were going to be implemented they would also want to introduce a new trade system where you could in theory use a mirror while in trade that or this system is going to be abused to scam or troll.

Think of all the ways you could easily abuse this system.

TFT works because they more or less moderate their traders.

they also ban people who they don't agree with or who wont sell stuff to their discord owner. TFT also has apparently? someone correct me if I am wrong of being rooted in RMT as well. there's been some accusations thrown around.

1
Spoiler
to go to your first part, that's on them what they choose to throw their man power at. They chose another sequel like OW2 did because it brings in more money. They didn't want to throw man power at a QOL for players because we do it for them because again guess what.. they are being lazy about it. They have had many and I mean MANY years to work on a system and decided to sit on their hands about it.

2
Spoiler
Poe didn't just appear during covid it was here wayyy before covid and had packs worth thousands of $$$ people even back then were wondering about trading systems... that's why the website trade FINALLY came about because people kept complaining about not wanting to go off site/game because it's stupid, it's inconvenient, it's putting that problem on your player base when it otherwise doesn't need to be due to lack of willingness to just get up and do it..

3
Spoiler
everywhere and everyone struggled during covid and trying to throw that as a excuse to why they didn't do it for years prior even to covid is just trying to explain it away for no other reason then giving them a free out. We all struggled.. they obviously had the man power to produce poe2, they could have done a decent trade system way quicker and easier for QOL in poe1 which still will be around and on top of that again it should have been done way earlier but they decided to keep pushing it off and off because they "didn't have to" because the player base dealt with it for them because of what? we needed ways to trade, and play the game properly, we needed ways to actually enjoy the game functionally, trade chat was the only other option and it was spammy as all heck back then which made trading extremely annoying.

Spoiler
i never said they weren't capable now did i?

I said even I can do it, which means I know they are fully capable of doing it and don't see why they haven't yet, because mine that I've messed with including horrible inventory systems look "meh" and not visually appealing but I can do them..

i believe at one point they did say it was a choice of theirs just not to do it in a interview because the players did it for them.

read what i bolded and underlined in my first post. here. it's like he didn't even read my post lmao...

Not just accusations, but substantiated allegations with receipts. There's tons of that stuff out there
