Trigger a Socketed Spell when you use a skill question
I'm following a guide to build my SRS Guardian and it suggests getting a wand with 'Trigger a Socketed Spell when you use a skill'. It does mention that you can aquired it by unveiling. Does that mean that I need to find a veiled gear first and then be lucky that it has this option for unveiling?
Also, will this be then added to my crafting table so I'll be able to add it whenever I want? Lastly, when I have it applied to a weapon and placed spells into the slots, will the spells trigger when I use any skill or just one of the skills socketed in this weapon? you need to get weapons with a veiled SUFFIX modifier, because it's a suffix. you won't need more than a bunch. once you unlock it, a different version of the trigger craft will be available on your crafting bench, the one that's on the item above. the unveiled version has 4 second cooldown, the crafted one 8 second cooldown. this doesn't make a difference for the most part, but some builds specifically need the 4 second one. the spell in the weapon will be triggered when you use ANY skill, but if there are multiple spells in the weapon, they aren't triggered at the same time when you use a skill, they are triggered one by one. Definitely RNG. Until it comes up, you can play with other options. For example, you can put Arcanist Brand in the wand linked with two curses - once you have Whispers of Doom.
EDIT: If you do get a weapon with a veiled suffix, you may be able to increase your odds of getting this mod by blocking another high-weight mod group. For example, craft a damage over time suffix on the weap before you unveil it, then scour it off after if you are going to continue using the wand. (Otherwise don't worry.) This is a slightly advanced crafting technique, but not difficult or expensive. Last edited by GreyLensman#5323 on Jan 25, 2024, 1:45:47 PM
