Automation skill gem not working

I have it linked with flammability, desecrate, and ball lightning. I have enough mana to cast these but they're not triggering automatically.
edit: I found the answer for any miners googling this answer. Detonate Mines is a white gem that cannot be purchased from a vendor; trade buy only. Link automation to the detonate mines gem. Player since closed beta 2012.
