[BUG: 2,911,369,371] Map device didn't open portals to new map -> Scarabs and map consumed

I started a new map, added 4 scarabs and a map, clicked "Activate" but the portal didn't spawn. The map device did make the usual rumbling sound when I clicked on activate, and that was it. Nothing else happened. When I checked the map device again, the map and the scarabs weren't in the slots anymore.

Scarabs were:

Bestiary Scarab of the Herd x2
Bestiary Scarab of the Shadowed Crow x1
Bestiary Scarab of Duplicating x1

The map was a T16 8 mods corrupted map that was supposed be transformed by the Twist of Fate Notable on the Atlas tree.

happened to me as well. Ate my 300c allflame. GGG does not care, because they have no idea how to fix it. It's one of the oldest bugs in the game.
