merging accounts... poe2 mtx?

how is the cross/account going to work?
I play on x-box when I get laying down and relaxing... but I do also play on pc... both accounts I have put plenty of money into tab/mtx/etc.
do I have to basically lose one account, or will we be able to merge?

I think You will just log in with your accound data and all MTXes that can be transferred will be transferred.
So they have stated just recently that they would like to have cross platform MTX but it is all down to negotiations with MS and sony, if they put their foot down and say no then you are up shit creek and there is nothing GGG can do about it.

Other than that, it will be a case of mtx on the one platform transferring to the new game.

Ok hopefully Ms/ps and ggg can come to something for player that are across multiple systems can transfer to 1 account..
But if not that sucks losing mtx from league that you can get again.
GGG GET LINK ACCOUNTS FOR US
When PoE2 drops (or by the time it drops, no telling if they'll do the account migration before then), all players will have a single Path of Exile account they use to access either game on either platform. All MTXs will be linked to that account, and players will have and retain access to everything they've purchased.

What might happen, because Sony "the platform holders" are uncooperative arsebuckets well known for being antagonistic to allowing any sort of cross functionality, is that certain MTXs on your account may be locked to the specific platform they were purchased on. Buying a portal skin on PlayStation your console of choice may end up forcing Grinding Gear to lock that portal skin to use while you're playing on PlayStation your console of choice. You won't lose it, but you can't use it on PC or Xbox the other console, either.

Grinding Gear is committed to doing the best they can on this issue, but the matter is not really in their hands. They'll negotiate on our behalfs and they will not take away anyone's purchases, but Sony platform holders may, as Lagwin said, put their foot down and say "we're not going to allow you to do this". In which case Grinding Gear can't do it.

The long and the short of it on all MTX cross compatibility questions - between platforms, between games, whatever - is that Grinding Gear will do whatever it can to make sure you can use as much of your stuff in as many ways as you can, but they're not gonna be able to guarantee 100% on everything. Between platform holders and how far PoE2 has diverged from PoE1 since the cross-MTX announcement, some things may end up having to fall off. It'll suck, and they'll work to minimize that, but it'll be what it'll be.
