Awful Paladin Weapon Effect Performance

The new paladin weapon effect HEAVILY impacts performance, in the screenshots you can see the fps difference when using it.

I have the same experience and made a twitch clip but didn't make the thread yet. Glad to see you noticed it too.
Biggest impact was DX11. DX12 just slightly better. Vulcan not event noticable. Other weapon effects are at most 50% as bad. Eat your vegetables. Last edited by boldfacelies on Jul 19, 2024, 12:20:56 PM

Using DX12 as it is the best performance for my system, having almost 30fps difference when using the effect is absurd.

Hope it gets fixed soon, because if not, doing a moderate juiced map will make the game a literal powerpoint presentation.

" Awesome clip, showcases perfectly the problem, seems 20-30fps loss is noticed no matter what specs or initial fps you have (when zoomed out), and always half the fps of what you have when zoomed in (if you have 200fps it will probably go to 100fps), seems to be a clear bug in the skin. I hope GGG can review this. It's such a nice mtx and I want to use it by -20fps is not acceptable.
The league challenge reward looks like it's similarly designed. Hope it's not busted too. Eat your vegetables.

Posted on 19 of July, still not fixed. Not even a reply from GGG to know they even care about the issue and working to fix it.
Buying the packs to help GGG and being rewarded -20fps (the bare minimum it can go up to -60 or -70) is very disrespectful to the consumer. League starts TODAY and still no attempt to fix this. Last edited by Satan on Feb 10, 1692, 10:00:00 PM

Same. Bought nice effect but cant use it =( Fps dropped from 110 to 70.
