Ability to shuffle chosen hideouts
Hello,
I have a feature suggestion inspired by the portal MTXs. It would be great to have the ability to randomize my hideouts daily or each time I teleport to them while keeping the layouts persistent to avoid the need for reorganization. Currently, I find it discouraging to buy new hideouts because we can only use one at a time, and switching between them manually and periodically is quite tedious. This feature would make the process more enjoyable and worthwhile. Thank you! Last bumped on Nov 21, 2024, 2:38:33 PM

It's a nice idea BUT i think it would come with a whole load of problems for the player.

I like this idea! I've used the same hideout for a very long time. I know I can make other layouts and switch them manually with exports and imports. But it would be so cool if I could have at least 2 hideouts saved in-game to switch between. And like this suggestion, more than 2 chosen randomly with each hideout instance. That'd be sweet!

Im sure if they did this, the people that used it would just make every hideout have the same stash/map device/vendor layout and it wouldnt feel different when you swapped.

" The layout would probably be the same but the surrounding environment would still be different. |

They could make a league about this mechanic. Like we do our stuff and Helena comes and informs us that HO was invaded. So we need to setup new one and hunt for the invaders.
Or something like that. |

" Different hideouts have different dimensions though, what if I placed my waypoint at the far edge of my current hideout and it would be outside the boundaries of the layout being swapped to? |

I think it’s inevitable that the placement of items won’t be identical across different hideouts. But, if you limit your shuffle to 4-5 selected hideouts, it shouldn’t be too overwhelming to adapt to where everything is. Most players would likely organize their shuffled hideouts to have similar layouts or item placements for convenience.
I do agree that if the shuffle feature included all your hideouts, it could become chaotic. Keeping track of layouts for 20+ hideouts would be too much to handle for most people. |
