Martyr of Innocence - Casting spells BRICKED

The Martyr of Innocence unique staff now has the Battlemage's Cry affix/skill which prevents me from using my 6-link spell I have socketed in it.

The patch notes mentions nothing of this.
(unintended sideeffect when you removed Vengence affix/skill?)

This needs to be fixed, or let us disable Battlemage Cry.

One week, no fix in sight...?

Multiple weeks, no fix in sight...?

Just move on for any changes that brick the gear in Standard

unfortunately this is going to be a case of suck it and deal with it.

sometimes when uniques get changed they change existing versions(usually when the supporting skill gets removed entirely like it was in this case) which will brick standard builds... happens all the time.

sometimes they do forget to note it in patch notes.

GGG have broken half my characters this league and this tops it off. My fire mage relied on this staff for fire damage and now it cant cast spells.

What use is Battlemage Shout (Can only use melee to trigger spells) and Battlemage (Melee damage adds to spells) being together? They cancel each other out.

My Body Swap build is completely useless now. What happened to keeping it as Legacy gear?

GGG break Standard league build all the time.....
