The state of Microtransactions

So i want this post to be something that can get the details out without being super long so before i do ill just say. I love poe played for many years and spent many $$$ and 3.25 is so much fun.

The problem
Ive spent close to 10k AUD on poe and its one of the things i look forward to the most about new years. The problem is now every set of gear has an effect that it does. I like buying the armour for the armour and effects for effects personally when i see a cool set of armour i want to build around it and make it feel how i want. These mandatory effects often are not part of what i am wanting, i understand it would be hard to make it so when you buy an armour set you can use the effect on anything (thoe that would be ideal). But can we please have a little tick box on each slot maybe that turns on and off the effect the armour does.

eg from most recent chest lets say the scarab beetle shield. In the shield MTX slot just have a little square in top right that u can click and it has a green tick or a red X and that way you can choose if the beetles will swarm around you. (or if you wanted to make the system better then you could put the effect in that side MTX option we have and so characters who don't use shields but want to feel like bug mancers can still use the effect)

Thank you for reading im aware this is very much a 1st world problem but as a massive fan of the game I thought it was worth bringing up as some armour sets that look cool but have crazy effects i just didnt buy because i wouldnt want that effect active 24/7.
