Settlers of Kalguur shipping mechanics clarification.
I've looked at the spreadsheet over on PoE wiki and while it isn't an official source (it is a community run website afaik) the information written on there seems mostly reliable.
Now over on the wiki it is written that both the ports and type of the resources you send affect the rewards you get from said shipment. For example, shipping crimson ore to port Te Onui is more likely to yield dex based armours. It is also written that shipping Verisium to said port is more likely to yield a unique item. If I were to ship both of said resources to Te Onui would that increase my chances of getting a dex base unique or are these resources independent of each other meaning I would just be more likely to get a random assortment of uniques as well as random dex based rares? I also wish, if it permissible to get clarification on whether the type of crops you send and to which port affects the type of currency you get similarly to how ores work, I have a hard time believing that each crop just yields random currency rather than the type of crop relating to which currency you get as well as quantities and rarity of said currency. For example sending wheat to Te Onui is more likely to yield larger qualities of quality improving currency while sending the higher tier blue plant is more likely to yield smaller quantities of currency but of rares types and the port determines which type of crafting is said received currency related to. If this is not the case I do hope you take this as a suggestion. Furthermore, following the necropolis I would have hoped that the league mechanic would involve more deterministic ways to get the exact right rare gear however that does not seem to be the case. I am bit disappointed that each port is just more likely to yield some attribute related base type rather than ores letting you determine base type as well as rarity while each port determines which slot does that gear belong to. While I understand the mechanic is a lot more deterministic and powerful that way I do feel it would be way more fun to craft and experiment with that ( I do understand that us PoE players have the tendency to suck the fun out of experimenting with spreadsheets though ). Example for my latter suggestion: Rather than Petrified Amber correlating to various types of Jewellery port Pondium rewards you with Jewellery and petrified Amber increases that chances of said jewellery being a belt, or if sent to another port more likely to be a dex base, and Verisium making items more likely to be unique etc. It is infinitely harder to balance around such a mechanic though so I understand why it wasn't implemented this way. However I do hope this is taken into consideration. Many thanks. Last bumped on Jul 29, 2024, 7:35:17 AM
