Is it normal that Pale Seraphim cannot be desecrated as a spectral corpse?

Pale Seraphins do not count towards your spectral bank corpses. You cannot resummon them if they die, and you have to naturally find them again. Is this intended behaviour that came with the desecrate changes (did not find this specific entry in the patch notes)?

I'm aware of the desecrate changes, but they should still be in the corpse pool for spectral corpses specific for Summon Sprectre, as nothing states otherwise.
