all settings reset after starting

It's frustrating that all settings reset after starting the game. This applies to both the renderer, which requires a game restart after changing settings, making it impossible to adjust, display settings, and even the loot filter. Every time I start the game, everything resets. This happens with both the Steam version and the direct version of the game.

Could really use some help with this.
