smelters smelting bars even no smelters are assigned to chosen ore

Hello i have found a problem that i wanted to stock up some Verisium ore to make an upgrades in Kingsmarch but the smelters wanted to smelt ore even tho noone was assigned to this specific ore. It appears that the problem is there not only with this one ore but with others too, managed to get it on Orichalcum ore. It looks like it doesnt apply to crimson iron one (couldnt get it to smelt without smelters). I'm submiting tho screenshots that are made after some time to show that it is smelting even no smelters are applied. Showing workers to to confirm that no workers are applied when taking screenshots neither they were during making a report it doesnt look like this is a visual bug that shows 0 workers but there are workers applied. I had workers applied befeore testing but to test it i had to remove them and the ores still smelted to bars. If you will need to get video of that i can try to make one for you.

It's not a bug, it's a feature and GGG did implement a text which like 5 people have probably read:


They won't probably change it, but they should. It's pretty counterintuitive that they designed it that way.

Then i would recomend changing Verisium ore as building material in other buildings than smelting place (for levels that unlock smelting specific ores and any previous) because now i need to sign off all smelters to get any verisium ore to get a port upgrade that requires verisium ore. Any amount gets smelted to bars immidieatly.

Have same problem I cant progress my port, im stuck, have no Smelting on Versium bars but still consume the Versium Ore.

I have the same issue, I have removed all workers from all the smelters. This will allow ore to stock up again. Then I buy necessary upgrades and then re-add smelters afterwards.

Does anyone know if mining works the same way? Doesn't matter much, I'm just curious.

Yes, both miners and smelters will work on all possible ore until there is nothing left for them to work on and all simultaneously go idle.
