Ancestral Cry Autoexertion does not work with Strike skill

Using Ancestral Cry with Autoexertion seems to grant the exerted attacks visually on the skill.

However the exerted attack stacks do not get triggered by a strike skill as expected.

Currently tested with Dual Strike of Ambidexterity:

It does not proc any Ancestral Cry exerted stacks, despite having the Strike tag and being a Strike skill.

If it helps, I also have allocated the Tribal Fury with +1 target mastery wheel, not sure if these are related.

EDIT: This is due to using Multistrike and therefore working as intended.

Are you using Multistrike?

Attacks that repeat can't be exerted.
That would be the case, yes. Not too familiar with exerted effects as I've not used them much.

Checking the wiki this seems to be intended even for initial strike, so therefore Ancestral won't apply at all.

I'll look to modify the build in that case.
Thanks!
