3.25 Challenge (Ambitious Assignments -> (30x Port Quotas) - Problem!

First of all, please dont get me wrong, i love challenges and the achievements.
Now to the problem, im 39/40 challenges and the one from the title... currently 24/30 Port Quotas, but they need likke 170.000 Crimson Iron Ire - and thats JUST ONE Quota. The question is, is that intended? Little math for e.g.: Running City Square in 1 1/2 min, getting like 0, 1 or 2 random Ores from 5 different. Overall i get every 5th - 6h map Crimson. When i get crimson, its like 800 - 1100. Lets say, in a very lucky state i get every 3rd map 1.100 = 366~ per map. Thats 515 maps - in 1 1/2 min, only rushing ore for 1 (!!!!) Quota. = 772 min / 12 Hours - for 1 QUOTA! (not any downtime or prepping or what so ever) Is that intented? Are there ways to force crimson? As far as I know the port quotas scale with the level of your port.
So a workaround, which might be faster, could be to make a new character in another league (SSF, HC, private league) to rush the "low effort" quotas at lower port levels. | |

Thanks, thats an good idea.
I found another workkaround - some map layouts have a good Spawn at the Start of the Map - lets Spam it. SOLVED |

" In case you dont know: Smelted bars count 5x the ore. So send one bar and it counts as 5 ores. No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!

I do, a friend told me so - but still 170.000 is 34.000 Bars - just for 1/3 out of 1 quota.
And the Quota after that will be even bigger. But some maps can be cheesed, so kinda "fine". |

Wow! Congratz! 39/40 in a week!
For some reason I have this challenge completed, but I'm in same boat. I was stuck for a while because all ports were asking for 50k-300k iron. After I completed the quota for one of them (50k one), was finally able to ship other resources. Now I need 600k iron total to unblock the other 4 ports. All ports asking for same resource at same time is just bad... To farm 100k iron (20k bars), you need to run like 150 maps... and I need 600k (~900 maps). " Thanks for tip! Atoll is very great - most of the times first isle and if its not there, check on next "isles" - or parts where is room for such Irons. But let me tell you in advance - very expensive. Like 23 Maps for 1d - done in around 5 sec.
Im finished with that league, so i waste my currency on faster progression for 40/40. Also ran beach and city square, to not be totally bored. You can combine it with the 4000 Map Modifiers on City Square and if you want to min max challenges, make them at least 75% quant with 4 scarabs. Than you do in 1 run: 4000% Map modis Use 500 Scarabs Do 75 Maps with at least 4 scarabs and 75% quant (and also of course the beautifull port quota farm) |

Thanks for tips! Usually I start completing the easy challenges after I finish most of the grinds. I'll complete the scarabs challenges when I'll have a good money making strategy, no point to rush it. I'll get 40/40 in a few weeks anyway.
In the meantime, I unblocked 2 ports for a while, now once again all ports are asking for iron... 140,000 iron is the cheapest. I think I wont be shipping for a while, hopefully they will patch this next week. |
